An Evening with Bliss Events

Bliss Events GroupAround a farmhouse table in our very own warehouse, nine planners from Bliss Events and Limelife Photography joined our sales team for a night of education, fun, and, of course, a delicious spread from Chef Donald!  In between bites and sips, we chatted about some of the elements of catering that planners could benefit from such as portion sizes, buffet vs. plated dinners, timelines, organic vs. sustainable vs. farm to table food, vendor meals and more.  In turn, the gals from Bliss enlightened us on with “A day in the life of a planner.”

Whew!

As for the food, we started with a white cheddar potato croquette paired with farmers’ market crudité with lemon basil vinaigrette.  Next was a crisped squash blossom stuffed with a goat cheese mousse over chipotle crema.  For our third course, we enjoyed yellowtail crudo with avocado yuzu crème fraîche and shaved chorizo.  A few of the ladies noted that this was their first foray into raw fish, and they were hooked! J  Moving on… Summer peach and burrata salad with balsamic gelée and basil mint pesto.  And FINALLY, king salmon brulée with forbidden rice and red quinoa and spring pea purée.

Stuffed to the gills, we still managed to find room for sweets and coffee as we shared funny stories from events we’ve worked, ideas for future events, and trends that we’ve seen in the market.

All in all, it was a great evening, and one we hope to share with more planners in the coming months.  Contact us if your company is interested in joining us for a evening around the dinner table!
